@IvanScrooge98: It doesn't. Let me use an extreme but simplified example: 1000 international fans and 100 Czech fans voted, and there are only 2 songs. all 1000 international voters voted song 1 and all 100 Czech voters voted song 2. If it was a 70/30 split, this would obviously mean that song 1 recieved 70% of all votes, and song 2 30%, right? Well no, song 1 would recieve 1000×0.7=700 votes, while song 2 would recieve 100×0.3=30 votes. That is not a 70/30 split. To achieve a 70/30 split using this method, the international and Czech fans would've had to have cast the exact same amount of votes, which is not the case. In our real life case, international fans cast over 12k more votes than the Czech ones, making the split in these results closer to 80/20 — IмSтevan talk 21:00, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Uhm I got your point. If we understand the two publics as single units determining a ranking instead of considering the number of single votes my reasoning doesn’t work. I probably misused the mathematical terms. ~ IvanScrooge98 (talk) 21:05, 13 December 2023 (UTC)[reply]
