Take into account Yawgmoth from the Magic: The Gathering series. Just as Shai'tan's alternate title is the Dark One, Yawgmoth's alternate classification is the Dark One/Hidden One. Shouldn't this be incorporated somewhere?

"Shaitan, in Islam, is the Christian equivilant to Satan. " Hunh?

"The only person currently allowed to draw on the True Power is Moridin." In Knife of Dreams Nynaeve says "There's something wrong with your eyes". Next Rand thinks about the black flecks being gone - black flecks being an symptom for using the True Power as mentioned and explained somewhere in 7 to 9 book, either by Moridin or some other Forsaken seeing him. This could also explain why channeling is more and more exhausting for Rand. As for the how of it, the answer imho lies in either the first duel with Ishmael, or with Rand's wound.

This whole article could use some restructuring. While it gives all of the important info, it does not clearly delineate the perceived plot of the books, the theories of the readers, or the real details we've been given. Can we be more specific in this regard?
