Merger proposal

There are actually some important distinctions between the two terms and the software used for each of these applications. Database publishing usually refers to an application where large amounts of data are brought into a software program such as InDesign in order to create multiple page documents. Variable data printing is a sophisticated form of mail-merge where conditional data [text and/or images] is swapped into a template document for each copy of the document that is then usually printed. Think advertising that has your name and address and other personalized information. Maybe even pictures of things you might be interested in. [user:avatar perry]
