Information about children/COI editing

Editor who qualifies as SPA and most likely has undeclared COI removed information about David Rowland's children with a edit summary: Removed private information that is not in the official public domain. If you would like to add this on the wiki page, can you please first move this to Talk page. As i believe this would be an issue with GDPR. I restored this information as the edit summary is incorrect: names of four child are published by reliable sources and they are all referenced. It seems that over the years, Fatherhope55 has exclusively edited only articles related to David Rowland and his family members, and the editing pattern is that the editor in question tries to remove certain information. It seems that it may be a case of undeclared COI editing and therefore I strongly encourage the editor in question to declare their COI and to follow COI guidelines. Also policy about paid editing may be relevant. Beagel (talk) 18:36, 17 May 2019 (UTC)

Hi Beagel,
Please advise who i need to contact with regards to having an issue with this page? I have emailed numerous times the emails advised on the guidelines and have had no reply. I am not paid to edit these pages but believe there is some information that is not relevant to a non public figure. Especially information about his spouse and children. In addition, no one seems to have a clear idea on the new law implemented by the EU (GDPR), which seems to state you cant put information about someone without his or her consent?
Kind regards

Thank you very much for clarification that you are not paid for edit. Taking into account previous cases this was not obvious. However, you are still requested to declare your connections to the topic of this article as based on your edit history there is a strong connection. I also believe that you misinterpret GDPR in the context of Wikipedia. However, if you have issues with this article, you may:

Children and wives

After edits by Edwardx the article says that David and Sheila Rowland have eight children. This is incorrect as David Rowland has eight children with two different wives who are Sheila Rowland (Williams) (married in 1966–1985) and Linda Anne Rowland (Christie). THe infobox also says now that David Rowland is married to Sheila Rowland. This is incorrect, that marriage was divorced in 1985 and his current wife is Linda Anne Rowland. This information should be corrected. The information about wives was removed previously as it was sourced by Daily Mail [1]. Beagel (talk) 19:39, 21 October 2019 (UTC)

Thank you, Beagel. I am trying to correct this in as much as I can find non-DM reliable sources. Hope my revised version is better. Edwardx (talk) 19:59, 21 October 2019 (UTC)
