how long can this be aged for?

I don't believe the price of this beer is so expensive, but just the cost of import. Maybe someone can confirm this. I've spent long periods in the Netherlands and love the beer, but don't recall it being more expensive than any other decent beer. Corona on the other, as well as other imports, were way above the price of other beer (~$20 for a 6-pack). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.14.236.65 (talk) 19:37, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

problems with article sections

[edit]

The "serving instructions" section seems like ad-copy, and the "seasonal beers" section seems out of place with this article. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 159.178.228.148 (talk) 15:29, 2 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

problem with comparison to Newcastle Brown Ale

[edit]

Delirium Tremens is really nothing like Newcastle brown ale, and no comparison can be justified by the similarity between the names. English brown ale lacks the strong sweetness and maltiness of Belgian brown ale. A better comparison with English brewing would be with strong English ales like Greene King's Old Crafty Hen and Suffolk Springer, or Adnam's Broadside. By way of a source observe the ABVs, Delirium Nocturnum runs at 8.5, Old Crafty Hen at 6.5, Broadside at 6.3, whilst Newcastle Brown is 4.7%. Unless the claim to similarity with Newcastle Brown can somehow be verified with a genuine source, I suggest it be deleted. anonymous 17:56, 27 March 2011 (GMT) —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.140.129.180 (talk)

Subjective Information

[edit]

I think that while it is okay to remark on the look/color/etc. of the beer, discussing how it tastes and the different notes one gets from it is all relative. People have different tastes and one might distinguish some flavors differently than others. This is written more like a beer review than an objective, informative post about a beer, so I removed what I believed to be more opinion-based than factual.
