Death Rate Questions

"Death rate: 100% deaths/1,000 population (2006 est.)" Are you sure? Abbott75 10:35, 18 March 2007 (UTC)

Looks like that's since been fixed. -- Beland (talk) 17:33, 4 December 2014 (UTC)

Demographics are based on self-reported "Jamaican" identity and Thereby Ignores Large Irish Heritage Mixed with African

Here are plenty of sources:

Religion Discrepancy

This article says that 24% of Jamaicans are Church of God (Cleveland, TN). The main Jamaica article says, in its Religion section, that 24% of Jamaicans are Church of God of Prophecy. I don't know which is correct, but the discrepancy should be remedied by someone who does know.

"Ethnicity" Discrepancy in Introduction

Former: "This article is about the demographic features of the population of Jamaica, including population density, ethnicity, education level, health of the populace, economic status, religious affiliations and other aspects of the population".

"Ethnicity" was omitted from the introduction, since it was not included in the main body. Although it would be great to have this information and it should be present here, until someone revises that area of the body, the introduction should not be misleading (someone with the verifiable stats on Jamaica's ethnic demographics, please revise!!). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.72.158.124 (talk) 20:32, 5 January 2013 (UTC)

Maps

[1] has lovely maps, including population density. It would be good to have maps like these in this article, but I'm not sure what copyright terms apply Jamaican government works (i.e. if we can copy them or if we have to create new maps from the same data). -- Beland (talk) 17:32, 4 December 2014 (UTC)
