I have cleaned up the heading and introduction of this article, which I believe now complies with the Wikipedia:Manual of Style.

Other things to do would be:

  • Make the article less UK-centric by adding sections on DEMUs in other countries
  • Mention DEMUs in Northern Ireland
  • Add a short technical section describing how DEMUs work
  • The perspective of drivers - what it is like to drive a DEMU

I think I've successfully managed to cover the technical side of things and I'm working on driver perspective, however I cannot help to make the article more "international", indeed I'm not even sure if there's much in the way DEMUs opreating outside of the British Isles. --81.7.1.201 01:20, 12 February 2007 (UTC)

The introduction to the article is not sufficiently clear as to whether a DMU contains at least one diesel car and at least one electric car, or if it contains at least one "diesel&electric" car. Thelem 02:58, 10 March 2007 (UTC)

The only difference between a DMU and a DEMU is that they've got a different transmission. Most of the information is from Diesel-electric anyway.--GCFreak2 22:29, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
