Benklaasen says: "It has been suggested that this article or section be merged into Vajra.". I don't think that's a good idea; a dorje is a physical object, and as such merits its own page in wikipedia.

However, the same physical object was orginally called a vajra in Sanskrit - dorje is simply the Tibetan name of the same physical object. The historical background to the name and symbolism of the object are in the Vajra article. For example, the tradition in which the object itself is used is Vajrayana, not Dorjeyana. -Ekajati 16:39, 12 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
