Another early user of the EMIdec 1101 was Smith's Industries of Cricklewod, London NW2 (maker of auto, marine, aircraft instrumentation). Their EMIdec 1101 machine was built and commissioned on the EMI factory floor in Hayes, Middx in 1963, and installed and recommisioned at Smith's in 1964.
