Eitgenoze is the Middle High German MHG. Eit = Oath. Genoze = ge- noze. Ge- (German) = Co- (Latin). Noze (German) = Need (English). Need means "necessary, duty". Eitgenoze = Oath of Communal Duty, Oath of Shared Need.
