Talk in article

[edit]

The following was added to the article page by new user Chadwickeidson01, but it is more appropriate for this talk page:

Eidson, TN was named for a group of family living there bearing the surname Eidson. Amonst them was my great-grandfather, Andrew Jackson Eidson.

The information about the origin of the name would be good content to include in the article, but it needs to be supported by a citation to a reliable source. (Maybe the user has a source to cite.)

First-person comments, such as the one about "my great-grandfather", do not belong in Wikipedia articles. --Orlady (talk) 03:29, 29 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

My grandmother, Evalina Eidson, was born in Eidson, TN in 1901, and was the daughter of Samuel Eidson, the rancher, who relocated to Boyce, Virginia. 184.74.112.2 (talk) 18:36, 18 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
