Talk:Enterprise client-server backup
Added two-sentence paragraph to lead, warning that some of "Backup" article's remaining content may be incorrect for enterprise client-server applications. Sorry folks, but since the specific other editor has gotten his hands on that article the warning is true—although so far as I'm allowed I'll do my best to clarify in the "Backup" article what only applies to personal backup applications. - The two-sentence paragraph was deleted by another editor, apparently because it violated some rule about commenting on other articles, so I've replaced it with a mere link in the first sentence. I've clarified in the lead of the "Backup" article that it only applies to personal backup applications, and to come to this article for enterprise features. Never a dull moment in WP-land! Added several "Backing up interactive applications via true Continuous Data Protection" paragraphs to the new "Enterprise client-server backup" article. These paragraphs are excerpted from the particular other editor's "Backup" sub-subsection—as improved by me, but omit any substantial mention of "near-CDP" backup. This article was the back 2.2 screen pages of the "Backup" article since the fall of 2017, where it was the subject of extensive editing by User:JohnInDC. Since its separation it has been copy-edited by User:Ananya60vc, who made some legitimate fixes even though his/her native language is evidently not English. I therefore propose to remove the {{copy edit}} tag, unless someone objects. DovidBenAvraham (talk) 00:01, 21 July 2019 (UTC)

What do you think of putting the the second and third paragraphs of the lead into a section named "Function and configuration of client and server", or something similar? Over the last two years those two paragraphs have become weighty additions, which change very seldom and could therefore be skipped after being skimmed once.
