French price

[edit]

I added the dubious mention to for the French list price in FF since it does really sound realistic. The cited source has the error too.

The GBP to FF exchange was roughly 1:10.[1]

So a GBP price of GBP1735 can not translate to 1990FF.

https://www.old-computers.com/museum/computer.asp?st=1&c=143 show GBP480 and 2990FF as a price in 1988. For the sake of comparison would mean the QX-10 cost maybe 11990FF (the order of magnitude is more realistic). hub (talk) 22:30, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I confirm. I bought this machine which was my first computer for 19,900.00 francs in 1983. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:CB00:8946:7C00:3560:E451:655:38BE (talk) 09:56, 28 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Valdocs issues

[edit]

A big part of the problem was that most of it was written by a number of outside Forth programmers. It rapidly became clear to them as a group that when anyone finished their bit of the system, Epson fired them rather than giving them more work. This did not act as an incentive for anyone else to finish their bit properly. See the Forth journals of the day for more info... Lovingboth (talk) 08:58, 26 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
