- words like commune and arrondisement refer to specific types of political subdivisions in a specific country. this is simply the spanish translation of the english word 'state'. i could, myself, go and create entries for 'etat' (sorry i don't see the symbol here for the accented e) and 'staat'. others could create literally hundreds of pages translating this one word. it would quickly become unmanageable. we could have, i don't know, 40,000 -50,000 entries for each of the several thousand languages in the world.Toyokuni3 (talk) 16:23, 23 October 2008 (UTC)
