"All F1 helmets are entirely hand-made." That seems unlikely to me. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.107.0.106 (talk)

F1 or Formula 1?

[edit]

This can get mixed up with the Formula 1 helmet. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 79.72.70.166 (talk) 20:35, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Not if you read the article --Stephen 21:39, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not sure about the origin of F1 designation maybe someone can confirm this, but since it was initially designed for the needs of the Paris Fire Brigade which is a French Army engineers regiment, I would suspect that it comes from the F1 initial specifications, if those were changed it would be upgraded to model F2, it is like Mark I in British military equipment. Four helmet artices

[edit]

Why four little articles for four types of helmet? Wouldn't a single article named Fire helmet or some similar name cover the topic better? Jim.henderson (talk) 22:06, 15 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Come to think of it, Commons already has a Commons:Category:Firefighter's helmets which, when singularised, supplies a name which would seem to fit the purpose precisely. Jim.henderson (talk) 17:16, 18 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]
