Flux lines that pass through the loop

The sentence "magnetic flux through the wire loop is proportional to the number of magnetic flux lines that pass through the loop" is one bit of language I would like to see suppressed. The idea of moving flux lines is visual but it is also archaic. It has no place in a rigorous article on Faraday’s Law. Constant314 (talk) 15:48, 6 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
