This article is close to meeting the GA criteria. I had a few concerns as I read through it, though:

  • It would be nice to wikilink "nor'easter" in the lead. The third sentence seems like the most natural place to do this.
  • I can follow almost all of the "Synoptic history" section, but the discussion of the primary low and secondary low confused me and is probably not clear enough for the average reader.
  • The Wikilink for "Georgia" is to a disambiguation page; it should clarify that it is the U.S. state.
  • "heavy snow began to fall from New Jersey northward" - this left me wondering how far north.
  • Is there any more information available about how long the impact of the storm lasted? How long were schools closed? How long were the motorists trapped? How about the railroad and airport?
  • The last sentence in the "Impact" section doesn't really flow with the rest of the information. Could "also" be added after "region" to improve the flow?
  • "poorly-received" shouldn't be capitalized (this one is actually new to me, but I recently found out that adverbs ending in "ly" aren't hyphenated).
  • I couldn't access the third reference (NOAA) because my computer couldn't recognize the .djvu file extension. I'm going to assume good faith, but I was wondering to satisfy my own curiosity what kind of program I would need to open that type of file.

Once again, you've done a great job. I'll put this review on hold and keep this page on my watchlist. GaryColemanFan (talk) 05:56, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Most of that has been addressed, and I've left a few more in-depth replies above. Thank you for the detailed and helpful review as always! –Juliancolton | Talk 06:06, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for the quick response. It looks like pretty much everything has been addressed. It would still be nice to clarify how far north of New Jersey the snow was falling for the end of the first paragraph in "Synoptic history" (if the Kocin book gives any more detail) and any more information about the length of impact would be great (obviously, finding sources is not easy). I'll read through the article again quickly in the morning to make sure I haven't missed anything in my current sleep-deprived state. I don't forsee any problems for a GA pass, though. I was able to add a few more impact details, but the Kocin book doesn't specify how far north the snow was at that time. –Juliancolton | Talk 16:17, 10 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No problem. Thanks for checking. At any rate, the article meets all of the criteria, so I am promoting it. Although I'm currently taking a bit of a break from reviewing GANs, I have been inspired by Wizardman's efforts to decrease the backlog. He reviewed one of my articles this week, so I thought I should repay the favor. If you could keep the chain alive, that would be great. Thanks again for your hard work and quick replies.
