Combine with Foley Artist?

There's no interconnections between the two, and it seems like they were probably made separately and should now be combined. 24.19.16.194 (talk) 03:29, 18 June 2009 (UTC)

I agree smIsle —Preceding unsigned comment added by 66.178.143.189 (talk) 01:26, 23 September 2010 (UTC)

The two articles definitely should be combined. I've added merge tags, so if you disapprove speak now! Belegdal (talk) 21:30, 17 July 2012 (UTC)

Adding a vocabulary section

I'm going to add a vocabulary list of some words that will be helpful for some people to understand. Also, I may try to clean this article up a bit because there is little structure or coherence to it. --Astronuf (talk) 14:16, 13 July 2009 (UTC)

Did an overhaul of some of the sections and added citations --Astronuf (talk) 03:14, 14 July 2009 (UTC)

Documentaries.

It should probably be mentioned that 99.999% of all documentaries use Foley artists instead of actually recording animals in the wild. It is, by and large, the most common example of Foley work most people are aware of, but unfortunately even in 2012 many documentary makers still forget that telescopic mics of decent quality can be bought for the price of a regular mic these days (go Rode!) and opt for making shit up in the studio later. I'm sure it's anecdotal only, but I think most folks can also tell Foley work from the real deal quite easily these days, I've never seen a documentary where the sound effects sounded like they had been recorded for really real. :< BaSH PR0MPT (talk) 13:55, 4 October 2012 (UTC)
