Be Carefull

[edit]

Please note that François Bernier's "A New Division of the Earth" [1] is not a book [[2]] but an article in "Journal des Savans" roughly the size of his many letters on many different subjects to his "amateur" friends. It is very problematical to call him a racial scientist on that basis. See also the general status of "science" in his day and age. I thank you to consider this before merging your idea into the article. (84.193.163.31 11:00, 15 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]

If the content in this article is valid, surely it should be merged with the main article. If it isn't, it should be deleted. No? --Lukobe 23:22, 15 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

In this case there is no if. But I have like this feeling you are not about to believe me. (84.193.162.12 11:07, 16 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Why do you say that? I try to assume good faith as much as possible. Frankly, François Bernier isn't that interesting to me at all, and the only reason my attention was drawn to this page was because Dark Tichondrias created it. I don't think a separate article was ever necessary and I'd like to see it merged or deleted. --Lukobe 17:14, 16 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It essentially has been merged already. There is no content in this article that cannot be moved to François Bernier#Racial Classification System He Developed. User:84.193.163.31, can you clarify your "in this case, there is no if"? Do you mean the material in this article is valid, or not valid? --BillC 07:27, 18 April 2006 (UTC)[reply]

It's about sources. See also: [3]. This is why the merger is edited with a caveat refering to this discussion.Hooowever...do not pursue if not interested. (84.193.162.12 09:38, 18 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]

Oops...to late. The caveat has been removed by User:Lukobe. (84.193.162.12 09:49, 18 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]

And reference to the BOOK merged notwithstanding demands to check sources. We are wasting time here. (84.193.172.199 10:20, 29 April 2006 (UTC))[reply]
