Marigold blossom? Insufficient support.
In the paragraph discussing chicken feed, current version says: “Perdue Farms developed a specialized chicken-feed that included marigold blossoms, which imparted a characteristic golden yellow hue to the skins of his chickens.” It references only one support: a NYT article from Dec 25, 2005 by Joseph Nocera titled “Chicken Hawker” about Frank Perdue. The problem is that this reference provides no support at all. No discussion of chicken skin or marigold blossom. The only relevant discussion is regarding “[butchers who] wanted yellow chickens, so Frank Perdue fed his poultry grain that gave the meat a golden hue.” Ikerus (talk) 13:58, 5 December 2020 (UTC)
