Fredo Arias-King is a Mexican industrialist and political scientist who has a bachelor's degree from American University and a Masters in Business Administration from Harvard Business School. His father is Fredo Arias de la Canal who is also involved in the same areas and is a published poet considered a man of letters. While still an undergraduate at American University Arias-King founded the political journal Demokratizatsiya. After graduating from Harvard Business School he became active in the family business TR Chemical which specializes in chemicals derived from turpentine and resin. TR Chemical is based in Clint, Texas outside of El Paso, Texas An affiliated business has it's plant in Mexico City. He is currently involved in a reforestation project which assists Indian ejidos in Mexico to plant pine as a source of raw materials for TR Chemical.
