Article is extremely partial!!!

Name

[edit]

It's "Fundação Getulio Vargas", not "Fundação Getúlio Vargas" with an ú.

I'm an interested party so I'm not touching the article itself.--177.142.52.218 (talk) 23:00, 2 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of aprox. 93,5 % of the article.

[edit]

I've just removed aprox. 93,5% of the article. All that text was a translation of the copyrighted text from the FGV's official website. It contained blatant advertising and POV statements. However, the material is large and worth adding at Wikipedia. I'm going to rewrite everything, which will surely reduce the size (more than 92kb) of the text. If there's still too much info even after the rewriting, than it would probably be a good idea to split the article into smaller ones. Victor Lopes (talk) 18:20, 18 November 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Regarding the splitting idea, I've already started doing it, and there are still more articles to come. If anyone wants to improve them, feel free. Victor Lopes (talk) 02:35, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

History of FGV

[edit]

I didn't create all those articles about institutions linked to FGV because I study there, nor because my parents work there. Actually, I don't have any connection to the foundation, even though I am constantly hearing about it. I created all those articles because they were added all together to this page, and they violated some important Wiki rules, as explained above. I'm saying this to explain the reason why I'm not going to work on the section of the history of FGV. Everything I did, I did concerning the quality of this article. Now, someone else who is more familiarized with this subject could create the section. Victor Lopes (talk) 02:35, 7 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Error

[edit]

The information "It is considered by Foreign Policy as a top-5 "policymaker think-tank" worldwide." is incorrect. The article in FP uses FGV as an example and if you look in the ranking http://www.foreignpolicy.com/files/2008_Global_Go_To_Think_Tanks.pdf , FGV is in the 7th position in Latin America. The FGV is important in policymaking in Brazil but BUT IT'S NOT ON THE TOP 5. Also, in Brazil, graduation is very diferent in the US (but this is for other articles about FGV). 187.2.253.4 (talk) 18:30, 30 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
