Posible name
[edit]Heh, why not name it Gladavour?HHS.student
- Heheh! Nice, but I think that it would be something like Rixevoir. 'Cause "rixe" is French for "fight". I don't know. Floramage! 04:51, 16 October 2006 (UTC)
But think about it, it looks like a gladiator.HHS.student
- Well, yeah, but think about it. Gardevoir's name consists of "garde"(to gaurd) and "voir"(to see; watch). Erureido's name should be kind of like Gardevoir's, only it should indicate that it is a fighting-type. I think Rixevoir, "rixe"(to fight) and "voir"(to see; watch), would be a nice name. But it doesn't sound very masculine, huh? --Floramage! 19:12, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- I think it's going to be Bladevoir. - Mitsumasa 04:17, 16 January 2007 (UTC)
The best name would've been Engarde.
Greek?
[edit]The person that wrote that he looks like a greek Gladiator was mistaken, it is Roman.HHS.student
- Oops! Sorry! Thank you for clearing that up! I'll fix my mistake if it isn't already. Once again, thanks! And you don't need to be a total bitch about it. Just fix it. Yeesh.Floramage! 05:51, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
- Um, that was an anonymous vandal who called you gay( and changed Greek to geek). The original poster merely said you were “mistaken”, but the comment was maliciously altered here. --WikidSmaht (talk) 13:36, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
- What? Why would someone do that? That's so mean... I'm sorry, HHS Student. Seems like I was the one being a bitch... Floramage! 16:34, 6 March 2007 (UTC)
Erlade, the..
[edit]i heard that erlade is the "Aragornian gladiator pokemon" is this true or false? please, if anyone writes a response to this, explain what aragornian IS, or if it even is a real thing.
- "Aragornian" is a made-up word, apparently. I looked it up lots of times and found nothing. Are you sure that it is spelled right? Floramage! 05:55, 22 October 2006 (UTC)
Yes, i am 100 percent sure that Aragornian is spelled correctly.
- "Aragorn" is a fictional character from The Lord of the Rings. That means that Erlade is NOT the Aragornian Gladiator Pokémon. I'm still not completely sure that "Aragornian" is even an actual word. Anyway, hope that I was of some help to you! --Floramage! 19:05, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- Sure it's not Araucanian [1]?--67.87.66.127 19:29, 23 October 2006 (UTC)
- You know, the name "Erlade" isn't an official romanization of Erureido, so I don't even know why people have written about where its name comes from.....Seriously, people like to surmise too much on wikipedia, not good. Yoshitsune Shaojian 01:51, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
- No one is trying to find out where Erlade's name comes from. We are discussing a possible species classification of it. People really do surmise too much on Wikipedia, though. Floramage! 03:50, 29 October 2006 (UTC)
askar swordsman
[edit]is erlade actually called the 'askar swordsman' pokemon? all of my friends say this is its true classification. anyone know what this means?65.54.154.118 15:52, 22 December 2006 (UTC)Websurferduck
- I highly doubt it. People have been making really weird guesses about Erlade's classification, but it has been confirmed(for now) as the Blade Pokémon. Floramage! 18:07, 22 December 2006 (UTC)

[edit]explan to me how Erlade could possible in a game reveiw for a game that he was introduced after —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.211.83.82 (talk) 18:16, 7 February 2007 (UTC).
- thats easy. erlades are from sinnoh, not hoenn.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.54.154.41 (talk) 15:21, 25 February 2007 (UTC)
- That was the commenter’s POINT. He/she wondered about the citation of a Ru/Sa review in an article about a D/P article. If s/he had bothered to check however, s/he would see that the citation was for the general franchise description in the intro, not for any specific informatin about Erlade. --WikidSmaht (talk) 13:36, 1 March 2007 (UTC)

Dream eater
[edit]should we make a note of it learning dream eater before gardevoir? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.211.83.82 (talk) 15:50, 12 March 2007 (UTC).
- That may be a good idea...does it really though? I didn't know that. -Floramage! 16:19, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- According to Serebii.net's dex entry for Erlade, it doesn't learn it except by TM. But how would this help someone's understanding of Erlade? —M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 20:56, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- Um, I don't know...- Floramage! 23:12, 12 March 2007 (UTC)

you may need to re-read that page, it also says that it is the last move that it learns by leveling up—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.211.83.82 (talk) 11:33, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
- You must be reading Gardevoir's entry or looking somewhere in the TM section, since Erlade doesn't have Dream Eater listed as a level up move in its Serebii Pokédex entry.—M_C_Y_1008 (talk/contribs) 20:19, 13 March 2007 (UTC)
Um... Comparisons, Perhaps?
[edit]Um... please no one be to harsh with me, but... um... I was thinking of creating a small section under "In the video games" about the similarities and differences that Gardevoir and Erlade share. The same could maybe be done to Yukimenoko and Glalie, as they too need an Awakening Stone and need to be at a specific level for the Stone to be used. I mean, Erlade and Gardevoir have many physical differences, but those are described in detail in the "Biological characteristics" section. The moves and levels that they are learnt at are different and they both have a varied move pool. It's just a thought... but I think it's a good idea. Anyone else?- Floramage! 23:17, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
personally, i think it's a good idea, believe me, but i say dont do it. it will probably get deleted, so why make such an effort to write it if it just gets deleted?--chaosemeraldking 21:54, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- You do have a good point there. I'll wait and see if anyone else thinks it's a good idea and if a few more people agree, then I'll start it. It won't be a game guide, though, just a simple comparison.-Floramage! 17:11, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
New Name
[edit]it has a new name at least on serebii —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 65.211.83.82 (talk) 13:02, 15 March 2007 (UTC).
- Serebii fails WP:ATT. -Jeske (v^_^v) 21:18, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- some times but ussaly not.
- No, always (it has anonymous input). -Jeske (v^_^v) 13:03, 16 March 2007 (UTC)

i say serebii is right. gallade sounds like its real name.--chaosemeraldking 21:55, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- And Jimmy says we can't use Serebii as it fails our attribution policy. -Jeske (v^_^v) 22:15, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- hey it's been used on the other 4th generation pokemon just look at Electivire or what ever
yeah, chatot and electivires names were officialy confirmed by two separate episodes of pokemon battle frontier.--chaosemeraldking 22:30, 22 March 2007 (UTC)
what i am saying is that so far they have yet to be wrong, also these names such as Gallade have also been reveiled on other sites as well.HHS.student
- All of which got their info from Serebii or via the leak, and thus are still unreliable. -Jeske (v^_^v) 17:57, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
- well that leaked info is likley to become confermed real soon enough as most of there info is. On a wholy unreated note i have a question about this
- Editing of this article by unregistered or users is currently disabled.

it says newly registered users is currently disabled, and then: or create an account. this is just i little funney to me HHS.student
- Until it's confirmed officially, the only way to get into the article is to have an established account. This is impetus for an anon to create an account. -Jeske (v^_^v) 18:20, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
Just pointing out, Chatot and Electivire, you said they were officially confirmed by the anime, just saying before that, Serebii did EXCLUSIVELY reveal the names, just like they did with the others, and if all the names prove to be right, I will be petitioning Jimmy to make serebii a verified source because it has never been wrong, and just causes arguments that it isn't a useable source. Myzou 15:38, 9 April 2007 (UTC)
- Jimmy would likely say no, because it isn't Serebii's veracity that's at issue. It's Serebii's refusal to reveal its sources. -Jeske (v^_^v) 04:49, 10 April 2007 (UTC)
- Has anyone actually asked Serebii what his sources are? 81.153.111.183 12:26, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
- He has to post his sources. Personal correspondance isn't reliable, either.—ウルタプ 15:04, 11 April 2007 (UTC)

Yeah!!
[edit]chaosemeraldking speaks the truth! I check all sites it still says that! So to heck with WP:RS! They don't know everything!
And Wikipedia,no hard feeling,right?:)
—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Sonic,Pikachu, and Snorunt (talk • contribs) 00:36, 11 April 2007 (UTC).
- Actually, would you prefer being proven wrong publicly, or not reporting something that possibly is bogus? We don't know *where* Serebii is getting its information, so we have no way to confirm anything they ("They" being every faniste, since they either have anonymous sources or are sourced to Serebii) say. -Jeske (v^_^v) 00:52, 11 April 2007 (UTC)
US name
[edit]The English name has been confirmed as Gallade. Thus it needs to be changed to it. You say serebii is unreliable. Has serebii never been wrong in the past? No.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by Wolf Link 555 (talk • contribs) 23:53, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- Yes, they have been wrong in the past. Re: Blaziken's legendary status. Disregarding that, they still don't conform to the WP:RS guideline. – mcy1008 (talk) 23:59, 15 April 2007 (UTC)
- It's not whether they are always right; it's about who their sources exactly are, and Serebii does not reveal where it gets its information from. -Jeske (v^_^v) 03:01, 16 April 2007 (UTC)
- It has now been confirmed. However, as the games don't officially come out til tomorrow, the games we obtained before tomorrow cannot be used as proof -.- 70.132.1.133 20:12, 21 April 2007 (UTC)
