Hello, I'd appreciate if someone would review this entry and verify it's non-biased and make any changes or tweaks as necessary, or provide feedback. I tried to avoid any promotional wording and base everything on facts with references on the page.

Concerning notability, I think that shouldn't be a problem. Gamify has new stories from working together with the SETI Institute, as well as several stories from Mashable, Venturebeat, BNET, The Next Web etc.

You might be right, but it looks bad when an account's primary order of business is to write about its own business. 99.170.155.202 (talk) 00:54, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Removal of Gamify page[edit]

The Gamify page was removed. I fully disclosed my involvement with the company and had people on #wikipedia and #wikipedia-en-help on irc.freenode.net review the page and they were of the opinion that it was ok since all the data is based on facts and referenced articles and entirely avoids any kind of hype.

Please review again as COI states if I'm open about my involvement it should be okay as long as things are based on fact, which they are.

Thank you.

Hi, Nathan. It's not enough to avoid a COI, you also have to satisfy the Wikipedia:COMPANY guideline for notability. IMHO the sources you have provided so far are not enough to create a separate article, as they don't say much except that "the Gamify company exists". This content could still appear at the Gamify#Companies_and_organizations article; doing that doesn't require notability, only that WP:DUE WEIGHT is kept. You could request at Talk:Gamification that someone else adds a paragraph about your company and The Gamify SETI & Prosper Challenge.

Hi, Diego. Interesting, I didn't think notability was the issue. There are many more articles on our own, but yes most of them are about we exist, or initiatives we created such as our Q&A, Wiki and contest with SETI. What kind of thing is typically required to be considered notable? Thanks. NathanLands (talk) 23:33, 27 May 2011 (UTC)[reply]
