Proposed Changes
[edit]Over the next few days, I intend to merge the General video game playing article with this one, and add more information about the methods used, the practical applications of using GGP, and possibly more about the results of competitions. --Glibjibb (talk) 05:40, 5 April 2016 (UTC)
- Merge Done Klbrain (talk) 21:04, 24 February 2018 (UTC)
- Please, revert the merge! General video game playing is a different animal. In GVGP, the game rules are not sent in advance to the players, but have to be (partially) descried by players in 1000x iterations. Certain applications do not allow 1000x of iterations.Geysirhead (talk) 22:12, 29 December 2019 (UTC)
- Echoing myself, I will describe the difference in the first paragraph. --Geysirhead (talk) 15:06, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
- Actually, if a VGDL made by a human is involved (which is a lot of manual work and chances for mistakes), then VGDL AI turns into traditional GGP with a much fancier game server. VGDL is still a different animal. But however, no need for unmerging anymore. --Geysirhead (talk) 15:45, 9 February 2020 (UTC)
