Merge

[edit]

It has been suggested that this article be merged with Georgia. It could probably be better merged with History of Georgia, which has the following information:

Georgia has had five "permanent" state capitals: Savannah, Augusta, Louisville, Milledgeville, and Atlanta.

The article List of current and former capital cities within U.S. states has the best information on the capitals. This article, Georgia state capital, if completed in its current format, would just duplicate the Georgia portion of this list.

I propose that this article, Georgia state capital, be a redirect to List of current and former capital cities within U.S. states, unless someone wants to write an article that gives better, more in depth information. (And even then, it should probably be put in History of Georgia). — Fingers-of-Pyrex 17:39, July 26, 2005 (UTC)
