I started this page in order to link together a number of pages in the glucose metabolic pathway that were not adequately cross-referenced. I'd like to keep the page very index-like and not too full of detail if possible. Thanks. Rozzychan 20:02, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I would suggest that this page be redirected to cellular respiration. The goals of the two pages are almost identical. i.e. to tie toogether the various pages in wikipedia related to this topic. David D. (Talk) 15:29, 24 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

(from ETC page)

Wouldn't it be better to make a template? i think the page you have started could end up as a replicate of cellular respiration. David D. (Talk) 20:16, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean by template, and how do you do it in wikipedia? I objected to the length of the cellular respiration page. I wanted to simplify the process of finding the page you need. To make a kind of index. If there is another way to do that please show me. Rozzychan 18:50, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The first question: Is Cellular Respiration the top level catagory that people will search for to find a summary of this process. Should this template or index be entered on all related pages?

I see that wikipedia has little indexing. It depends largely on searching, but there are index like structures at the bottom of pages such as on the bottom of the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Help:Template there is a complex index. We could borrow the style and put it on the bottom of the cellular respiration page.

Anaerobic respiration
Glycolysis|Fermentation
Aerobic respiration
Glycolysis|Fermentation|Pyruvate oxidation|The Citric acid cycle (Kreb's cycle)

Below is a terrible template, but an example to get you thinking along the lines of what is possible. Feel free to edit it in my sandbox to make changes. David D. (Talk) 23:19, 14 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
