Error in reaction graphic[edit]

There is an huge error in the image File:Gluthathione_Reductase_Graphic_7.jpg The final arrow on the far right should be flipped as to indicate conversion of Peroxide to Water. This corrections needs to be made somehow because the way the image is now is misleading, and even erroneously reverses the role of Glutathione reductase. Please help on this issue. I am not sure if the File:Gluthathione_Reductase_Graphic_7.jpg should end with O2 conversion towards H2O2 (glutathion oxidase) OR H2O2 conversion towards H2O (glutathion peroxidase). Indeed it states Glutation Oxidase but as it reacts with peroxide it could be Glutathion Peroxidase... Anyway, as stated above there is a huge mistake, it CANNOT be from H2O toward H2O2, but the solution proposed upward is not totally correct neither. I believe it should show the right products as stated by Akehs but then the previous Glutathion oxidase should be replaced by Glutathion peroxidase Reluxor (talk) 21:06, 15 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have created a graphic that correctly reverses the arrows from peroxide to water. I am not savvy enough to upload it to Wikipedia. Protein structure[edit]

Frankly I don't get what the use is of showing the backbone of the structure of an enzyme - not just here but on many pages, and many books do it, too. What does it do for our understanding of the enzyme's activity? The scope of this article is wider than function, it also includes structure. So I think it is figure with the back bone is appropriate to include in the {{GNF_Protein_box}}. To attract readers, a little eye candy IMHO is a good thing. I also think the File:Glutathione_reductase.png figure is better than most Gene Wiki protein graphics since it at least highlights the substrate and cofactor. Finally since an Enzyme Commission number represents a reaction catalyzed by an enzyme, not the enzyme itself, therefore I think it would be appropriate if the File:GSR_Model_Figure.PNG in the {{infobox enzyme}} is replaced with a figure that focuses on the active site of the enzyme determined from a crystal structure. PMID 18638483 describes a series of very high resolution structures that capture various intermediate states of the reaction. I will try to produce something better.
