Improving the Page
[edit]Just wanted to let users know I am improving the page for a class project under the supervision of Dr. Lesly Temesvari (Username LTEMESV) at Clemson University. SO please do not delete my edits or scoop me! Thanks!Bavin2 (talk) 01:52, 27 October 2012 (UTC)
- I guess this project is now finished. As far as I can see the article describes two different structures with the same name and might usefully be split into two pages Glycosome (glycogen-related) and Glycosome (kinetoplastid) with disambiguation.CastWider (talk) 08:15, 29 July 2015 (UTC)
- I do agree that the article describes two different structures and should be split into to pages.
There are other things that could be done to improve the page.
- In the first paragraph it mentions the names "Scott" and "Still" with no last names. Adding last names, and maybe even links for those people, would help the article be more reliable. There are also many words that need links for people who are not science majors and do not understand what they are because there isn't a link for them to click on and read about before continuing the article. Word such as "Dynamic Molecule" and "Kinetoplastida." This article could also use more information on the types "Lyoglycosomes" and "Desmoglycosome" to help the reader clearly understand it. My last comment is on the first reference. When you click on the first reference on "Glycosomes- the organelles of glycogen metabolism," there is difficulty in finding the actual article.
