My daughter has Prader-Willie-syndrome. People who are charged with the care of these kids need to know what they can help and can’t. And as we all know all you gotta do is google today. PWS is not a very well known disability. Last year when there was a different teacher she loved it, but this year is unacceptable. PWS adults and kids need more sleep to function, which I mentioned earlier is just a search away. She also lives in an assistant living house, all of them have fits of rage, mostly obese, and never get full. My daughter is extremely overweight. She’s gained over100lbs. She gets in trouble for not wiping, but if one can’t reach then one can’t wipe, common sense, right? Not to some. The new teacher has badgered her about all of this. She called crying bc she “hated” her. But the straw that broke the camel’s back was my beautiful child fell asleep in class. Agian, google search. But took her desk and chair and made that little girl who weighs about 400 lbs. So just think, that is a lot of weight on someone who also has low muscle tone and made her stand the rest of the day. This to me and her whole family find this disgusting behavior of a “award winning teacher, Lauren. We ultimately decided to remove her from school bc of the way this horrible human being treated someone who was not doing anything that is not a symptom of PWS. Again, google search. And I really hope she was unaware, but she knows how to use her phone, computer, whatever. She showed a lack of caring if she wasn’t familiar with this, but if she wanted to help any of these kid’s with disabilities GOOGLE SEARCH. It is people like this who just want people to think they are so good, but sadly most are not. But what she’s done to my kid. . . I will make sure every parent of her class knows the kind of person she really is. She is going to do something bad, bc she obviously doesn’t want to understand or can’t. Either way she needs to be in another job, away from people who’s life is unbelievably hard, bc she is just going to make it harder.
