Atomic Bombs
[edit]The article states:
Whilst in Sydney, news reached them of the atomic bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki and the subsequent surrender of Japan. Bermuda then sailed for the Philippines, arriving on 23 July.
This is impossible as the bombs were dropped on August the 6th and August 9th; the date is clearly incorrect.Catsmeat (talk) 12:42, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
- The day may be right, though the month is not. Bermuda was at Sydney until 15 August, when she deployed with other fleet units, travelling to Leyte and then on to Formosa. She would have been in the Philippines on 23 August, not 23 July. Benea (talk) 17:18, 5 January 2010 (UTC)
