- It is reasonably well written.
- a (prose): b (MoS for lead, layout, word choice, fiction, and lists):
- Need the note about ironclads/armoured frigates etc
- Done
- Third paragraph of the Design and Description section is a fragment; I'd suggest adding to the previous paragraph.
- Agreed.
- Do we know why the hoisting gear was never added to the ship?
- Done
- 'Hector was assigned as Queen Victoria's guard ship nearly every summer during this period when she, and her family, were in residence in Osborne House on the Isle of Wight' - I would clarify that 'she' means the Queen and not the ship.
- Agreed.

- It is factually accurate and verifiable.
- a (references): b (citations to reliable sources): c (OR):
- Can anything be dug up about the wireless trials and what their results were? I think this might be an important addition if anything can be found, given the importance of wireless.
- I presume that they were favorable, but I don't know anything else. Poking around a little it seems that Ballard may not have been entirely correct as Defiant and Scourge seem to have performed the very first trials around 1895. Not worth deleting since it's sourced, but something to look at further along.--Sturmvogel 66 (talk) 20:03, 11 October 2010 (UTC)
