Motto
[edit]The motto of HMS Vimiera has been listed as "Sicut clin" ("Victory as formerly"). This is supported by naval-history.net. Unfortunately, as a competent Latin speaker, I can certify that it is incorrect. "Clin" is not a Latin word. It is clearly a mistake for "Sicut olim," where "olim" is in fact the Latin word for "formerly." Somewhere between the ship and the website, someone miscopied the motto. However, though I am convinced that "Sicut olim" is the real motto, I cannot find a source online to say so, as Vimiera is a very obscure ship. It seems that only naval-history.net bothers to mention it. --Jtle515 (talk) 18:31, 31 May 2020 (UTC)
