Haley's cryptograms
[edit]What's the problem with the you guys, that you keep deleting the Haley cryptograms' translations? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 201.29.147.46 (talk • contribs)
- They're being deleted because they are considered to be indiscriminate information, which is not part of what Wikipedia is intended to present. When they were originally posted, on their own seperate page, a discussion about their validity was opened to Wikipedia as a whole, following standard Wikipedia policy, and, after the presentation of arguments by both sides on the matter, the decision was taken by the Wikipedia powers-that-be to delete the page that they were originally on. Since then, they've been reposted a couple of times, this time on Haley's own page, but the same policy still stands; they're considered to be indiscriminate and thus are being deleted in line with the decision by the P-T-B.
- It was suggested during the discussion that they might be considered more appropriate over at WikiQuotes (although this was not guaranteed), but so far, as far as I know, nobody has followed that suggestion up. If you'd like to, go right ahead. --Tailkinker 13:16, 25 December 2006 (UTC)
- I suggest uploading it to Comixpedia. You even make interwiki links to it. for example, you could place the translations here: Comixpedia:What Haley Said –Gunslinger47 22:41, 27 December 2006 (UTC)
- Done that. --JohnRubin 11:28, 23 July 2007 (UTC)
bisexual
[edit]Asides don't really belong in a article, for the same reason cited above - "indiscriminate information, which is not part of what Wikipedia is intended to present". This might be re-worded with a cross wiki link, but as it stands, this isn't in link with wikipedia standards. Timmccloud 01:35, 11 January 2007 (UTC)
- (That and the translation of #309 where she said on Panel 9 — "I cheat at solitaire. I have a tattoo you've never seen. I kissed a girl once. OK, OK, more than once!" gives us a clue XD).
Notability?
[edit]Does this character in a web comic really deserve an article? There are no references and the style of the article is totally un-encyclopedic. Thoughts? -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 19:39, 1 June 2007 (UTC)
LGBT cat
[edit]Currently the article is in the Category:LGBT characters in comics. Could someone provide a reference in the article? Her bisexuality is only mentioned once and there are no references. -- SatyrTN (talk | contribs) 22:26, 4 June 2007 (UTC)
- I don't think there's enough relevant information about the character to place her in this category. We have no idea of the circumstances under which she kissed the girl in question; it could have been in a party game, or as part of a con, for all we know. Okay, at one point, during a conversation between the various aspects of her personality, a figure identified as "Haley's Latent Bisexuality" does make an appearance, but does latent bisexuality qualify the character for the category? My personal opinion is that it shouldn't, particularly as, from the conversation, that aspect of her personality is pretty much repressed. In the series itself, Haley has shown no signs of being anything other than actively heterosexual, so I would say that her inclusion in this category is incorrect. --Tailkinker 10:19, 5 June 2007 (UTC)
