Hat as euphemism for role or job
[edit]I think there should be a link here for the term "hat" as metaphor for one of multiple roles one plays. Examples: If someone is both CEO and President of a company, he/she is "wearing two hats"; likewise, acting as a sports coach for one's child requires consideration of when it's appropriate to "wear" the "coach hat" and "parent hat." Hi-hat
