The basic problem is that they improve secondary indexes that have no direct relation to health, like PSA tests, but they don't improve significant clinical endpoints, like years of life extended. By overtesting, they may actually cause harm. --Nbauman (talk) 19:49, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
