[edit]The following was added to the article by a new user. It contains new info, which if adequately sourced and rewritten in a suitable style could be reintroduced into the history section:
First it is important to understand that at one time in the history of Heel Inc. there were two separate entities, both started by the same doctor. Heel GmbH was sold when Dr. Hans-Heinrich Reckeweg left Germany to move to the United States. He then formed another company BHI (Biological Homeopathic Industries). It was this startup company, which began in 1979, that received a regulatory letter for selling prescription products over the counter. (A situation that was quickly resolved). This happened over twenty years ago (1984). In 1997, Heel Inc. was sold back to Heel GmbH becoming part of an international company that is the worldwide leader in high-quality, laboratory-formulated combination homeopathic pharmaceuticals. Today Heel Inc. produces and distributes homeopathic drugs in a FDA registered, new, (2004) state-of –the-art 50,000 sq. ft. facility As a cGMP compliant homeopathic drug manufacturing facility it strictly follows the standards and regulations by the FDA, the Homeopathic Pharmacopoeia of the United States (HPUS), the United States Pharmacopoeia (USP).
