Sea squirt or not?

[edit]

Are they Class: Sorberacea, Order: Aspiraculata or are they Class: Ascidiacea, Order: Pleurogona, Suborder: Stolidobranchia? If they are in the latter, as the article currently states, that leaves both the former Order and the former Class empty.

Furthermore from what i've read, Aspiraculata are not sea squirts but merely benthic tunicates.

Two of the top six Google hits go with the former and reference Wikipedia. The other four go with the latter but it seems they all stem from a single 1906 source The top ten Google hits for Aspiraculata all rely on Wikipedia and contain nearly the same info. This is very strange. Warmest Regards, :)—thecurran Speak your mind my past 13:53, 17 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
