That's not transport chain

I note that the illustration is almost certainly not a piece of transport chain. It is heavily corroded, and therefore made from uncoated carbon steel. All transport chain I have ever seen was either made from stainless steel, or else coated with a surface hardening and anti-corrosion coating. This is because corrosion and nicks make the strength of the chain unpredictable, and transport chain must have a guaranteed minimum strength. -- 203.20.101.203 (talk) 01:42, 3 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]
