Article assessment rating

[edit]

I have changed this articles class from B to Start. Please see the assessment area of project rugby union for a more complete description of appropriate ratings. This article is more or less a list at the moment. Much more needs to be included for it to be B class. Please discuss before changing it's assessment. Thanks. - Shudda talk 23:04, 16 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

[edit]

Maybe it would be better to call this List of All Blacks versus Springboks Test matches. I know it is a little long winded, but if it were a list it would basically be the same thing, with a lead section and maybe a paragraph summarising the history between the two. That way it could be nominated for WP:FAL without to many problems. - Shudda talk 23:02, 25 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I agree..--Cometstyles 13:09, 27 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

More analysis

[edit]

The rugby rivalry/friendship between NZ and SA is one of the greatest in the sport. The quality of the article would be greatly enhanced by discussing this. As a child growing up in a time when NZ didn't play SA because of apartheid there was a mystique about SA because it was the only country that had beaten the All Blacks in more games than it had lost to them. It would also be VERY interesting to see some discussion/analysis of why the winning ratio has flipped in favour of NZ since SA rejoined international rugby. 121.73.7.84 (talk) 05:36, 30 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rugby championship

[edit]

Why starting in 2022 and not before, with Tri nations? Isn't counting Rugby championship wrong as it's not a series, it's within a tournament? 80.116.84.231 (talk) 21:30, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Never mind, I saw it's two matches played both in the same place. That way works 80.116.84.231 (talk) 21:32, 9 December 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest to bring in the Cavaliers tour of 1986 as it is a major moment in the two countries results. Results etc as it meant much to the Springboks and helped the All Blacks win the 1987 World cup.

I also suggest to remove the 2022 series as it should not form part of the Series list between the countries. It merely inst a series. It was two matches that formed part of the Rugby Championship. otherwise you should include other years as well where two matches was played in one of the countries.

I also suggest we a colom relating to the tri nations/rugby championship games each year. Maybe even the Freedom Cup as part thereof. Brenton Viljoen (talk) 08:33, 15 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Pinchme123 (talk) 02:36, 26 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
1986 Cavaliers tour is not recognized, 2022 is two matches both played in SA, which didn't happen other Championship 79.40.205.141 (talk) 16:21, 6 April 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Tours

[edit]

I know I wrote something different, but thinking about it a bit more, with the (maybe) upcoming tour, can 2022 and 2024 be considered series? Just a question 79.20.213.109 (talk) 08:56, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

I think the Tri Nations matches shouldn't count as a serie, which wuld make the last serie in 199487.8.206.211 (talk) 16:18, 7 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
