Contesting speedy deletion[edit]

I created this page because I was trying to find the name of this Wood, and I couldn't at first.

I went to google maps, and turned on the wikipedia articles option, and while there were wikipedia articles for Emberton and Petsoe End, there wasn't a page for this small but lovely patch of woodland, so I searched some more until I found the name of the wood, and then I created an article.

I would also point out that Hollington Wood is neither an individual, animal, organization nor web content.

I'm afraid I don't see the problem. Even if I have only been able to add brief information, let us hope that other people can add more. Isn't that how wikipedia is supposed to work?--Tim J Hunt (talk) 21:47, 27 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Yes indeed, Tim J Hunt, that's just how WP should work. Your efforts should be commended. Welcome to WP, & I'm sorry your first article should be treated thus. Of course, with > 3 million articles, it's rare (but good) to find a niche for a new one.
Just a thought - would you have your own photo of Hollington Wood, that could go into the article? Regards, Trafford09 (talk) 11:12, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
