First Article[edit]

“I, Cladius” as inspiration for “I, Davros”…[edit]

The article says that Gary Russell of Big Finish said that I, Claudius was his template for the I, Davros plays, but is marked as needing a citation. The information can be found in the interview given on the fifth disc of the boxed set of the plays, where in addition to the base statement used in the statement, there are further mentions, such as one in which the choice of actress to play Calcula, Davros’s mother, was made because it was felt that she would avoid playing it in the manner of Sîan Phillips’s portrayal of Livia in the BBC TV adaptation of the Graves book.
