disambiguation?[edit]

This article is currently named I5. I think anyone using I5 in a wiki search is much more likely to be looking for the interstate than this group. Any objections to renaming this page to I5 (pop band) (any other suggestions?) and making I5 be a disambiguation page, like I-5? --Serge 23:06, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thats crazy! 1) Who is looking up interstates on here? 2) I doubt its 'more likely' (even if people do.) And to top it off why should they be renamed? Why not name the interstate page i5 (interstate)? Maybe what could be done is put a link (in the i5 page) to an 'i5 disambiguation' page...--User:Thegingerone

I'm suggesting I5 be a disambiguation page, not a page for Interstate 5. Again, look at I-5 for an example of what I'm talking about. --Serge 03:23, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

For several years, until 2006-03-01, this was an abbreviation page. Recently, Thegingerone (talk · contribs) overwrote it with a girl group, changing its purpose. According to googled lyrics pages, the band was called "International 5" (I5 is just another abbreviation), so I have created International 5 (band) from the detritus, and restored this page to its proper function.

Several years? Yeah I dont believe that and yes I am new but it wasnt my first article. I didnt destroy its purpose; to my recollection I5 the interstate wasnt even mentioned on that page. Dont tell me what i5 (girl group) was called; Im an expert there. They were not called 'International 5' thats what that name meant (NSYNC stood for something but they called themselves just NSYNC.) Please dont slander me; I changed your comment to make it neutral. And you made the wrong page; there is no need for it (international 5 is not the name; and they were a girl group. Dont play expert with things you dont know.)user:Thegingerone

Just look at the page history, it's all there. The page was created in August of 2004, which counts as "serveral years" as far as I'm concerned, and has referenced Interstate 5 since it was added last July, until you clobbered all of the content on March 14th. --Serge 19:29, 30 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I didnt 'clobber' anything. When I looked here it looked like everything that was being refrenced to was not named 'i5' specifically (it had dashes or () in the titles) so I seen no harm in it. I was amazed to see it go back to 2004 but thats not 'several' thats a 'few' years. Take the bee out of your bonnet dear; its a disambiguation page again. user:Thegingerone
