The claim that he funds the Azov Battalion is one of many lies that Russian propagandists have been spreading about him. The single citation in this article is insufficient to support the strength-- and damaging nature-- of the claim. The Commander of the Battalion has explicitly denied that Kolomysky (and/or Mossad) funds it:
"Lyashko and Kolomoysky never helped Battalion "Azov" - Commander

How did he make his money so fast after socialism ended? Or was he already a millionaire in socialism? Or did a fairy come one day, and it granted him a wish?
