Proposed merge with Catherine (1963 novel)

Justlettersandnumbers I agree it must have been missed because of the French title. As I can see, the article was created by the same User who already created the Benzoni article in 2010, copied from the fr.wk The title from this stub mentions only the first novel - and has a mistake, the novel was not first published in 1962, it is 1963! Actually strange to call it by that name for the en.wk. However the Catherine (1963 novel) article talks about all seven books. The first translated book published by Heinemann Ltd. in 1964 was called in English: ONE LOVE IS ENOUGH. Then each new translated novel had its own title. It is only since 2015 that Telos publishing calls it the Catherine series - each of the so far reissued novels begins with Catherine.

There is as example the article name for the 14 Angélique novels https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Angelique_(novel_series) where each of the novels begin with Angélique. I propose to delete the stub. There was only one sentence on that stub: Il suffit d'un amour – Tome 1 is a novel written by French novelist Juliette Benzoni. First published in 1962, it is the first novel in the Catherine series.

There are two issues here- one is that this article is really about the series, not just the first book. The second is that the book was published, and very popular under its English title as "Catherine, one love is enough". Il suffit d'un amour- tome 1 rather explictly points only to the title of the first book. No mention of the second part "tome 2" (published as "Catherine" in English). Possibly a rename to "Catherine series" ? Although that isnt really ideal either, is it? I've been looking at guidelines, but cant find anything majorly specific unless its "the title of the article should be recognizable to readers, unambiguous, and consistent with usage in English-language sources." The English sources tend to use the English title...The French press articles tend to use the phrase " la série des Catherine" (catherine series) when talking about them collectively, but thats not really an official designation. Have a redirect for Il suffit d'un amour- tome 1 by all means, but dont move the article there. Curdle (talk) 08:54, 10 March 2018 (UTC)
