General Info
[edit]Hello, User:Lucas100, and thanks for creating this article! I made some content additions based on a draft of this article, most notably an events list. Additionally, I would note that as the game logo is a non-free image it should be uploaded on Wikipedia and not on Commons. I look forward to working with you as Kickoff approaches. Hi Rainclaw7, thanks for all the help! Since this is my first article I knew it would have quite a few major issues, but a huge thanks for helping get all of that sorted out. I’ll be doing my part to keep things up to date over here as we move towards kickoff! Lucs100 (talk) 21:19, 3 January 2020 (UTC)
Hey, so I just added a bunch of game info since kickoff happened, as well as beginning to add the rest of the events listed on The Blue Alliance. I feel like I probably made some mistakes, so even if you just don't like what I said feel free to change it all. --JonoJ (talk) 23:26, 4 January 2020 (UTC)
Same as JonoJ, I made some edits to wording. Feel free to correct what I said. I'm just clarifying some information :) Frasererin01 (talk) 15:47, 6 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks JonoJ and Frasererin01! I’ve been adding relevant rules and making sure they’re up to date as well, but in my last edit I had to fix some incorrect information I added to the article myself (oops). Thanks for all your help to keep the page up to date, and good luck!! Lucs100 (talk) 05:01, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
Thanks so much Lucs100! I'll try to keep up with important game manual updates. I do have school and it is almost exam time so I wont be too, too focused with this. Since we're focusing on the game and not necessarily how to build the robot, I'll only update the game rules. I am on the Business teamn so I don't know many technical rules and what they mean 😅
EDIT: I added Team Manual update one and have a placeholder for #2 already. If you all could review that, that would be amazing! I do not know the exact dates in which team manuals are posted, so I added a section but will update when the next update becomes published, and I can see an exact timeline/approximation when each one will be posted. Frasererin01 (talk) 14:47, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
Hey Lucs100, Rainclaw7, and JonoJ. I created a section on Game Manual Updates. I'll be updating this section every time new game rules are published and will try to keep it up to date. Please read, review, and change anything you need. Frasererin01 (talk) 15:50, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
- Frasererin01, although it may make sense to add a team update section in a wiki specifically for FRC, Wikipedia in my opinion is not the place to do it. I am in favor of removing that section completely, as it is too specific for the "average" Wikipedia user. Rainclaw7 (talk) 16:02, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
- Maybe because online they have 2 separate docs, one with the updated rules, and one with every update in there? I think it's fine but it come to personal opinion. Frasererin01 (talk) 16:08, 11 January 2020 (UTC)
- Frasererin01 I more mean that the entire section is imo too specific for Wikipedia. Our main userbase is the general public, not FRC teams, and the general public likely won't really care about rules specifics. Teams will also likely use the FIRST site as opposed to Wiki if they want rules info. Rainclaw7 (talk) 16:19, 11 January 2020 (UTC)

Hey Rainclaw7, I thought opening ceremonies were always held in the convention centers? Correct me if I'm wrong, but the past two years I've been to houston, opening ceremonies were held in adjacent hotels or the convention center itself. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Snowmaninblack (talk • contribs) 16:43, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
- Detroit has a welcome celebration at Ford Field, which is what I meant. Houston's is on Discovery Green so that can be changed. Rainclaw7 (talk) 17:02, 1 February 2020 (UTC)
Read the manual
[edit]Just a reminder to FRC teams to never use this page as an approximation or summary of the rules. Despite containing detailed information, this entry has had several of the rules it describes changed over time due to different interpretations of them (a lot of this is my fault, oops).
This page is more of a place where spectators and those who are interested can learn more about the game. Thank you all for helping keep this page up to date, and good luck at your competitions. Lucs100 (talk) 04:59, 9 January 2020 (UTC)
Infinite Recharge replay in 2021, discussion of associated wiki issues.
[edit]As announced today, Infinite Recharge will be replayed in 2021 "with adjustments". Due to this, I am unsure how this article/a possible 2021 article should be formatted. Should a new article be created for the 2021 version of Infinite Recharge, or should 2021 matches be included in this article? Rainclaw7 (talk) 19:21, 13 May 2020 (UTC)
- I'm going to go ahead and say that 2021's version should be its own article. Snowmaninblack (talk) 01:23, 17 May 2020 (UTC)
