These two pages should not be merged. Interland is different from web.com. They have two distinct histories. Web.com was formerly the Interland that used to be MicronPC. The Interland on this page was another public company that was bought and merged into MicronPC. Both stories are interesting and independent. I would not vote to merge.

Web.com (NASDAQ: WWWW) was formerly Interland, Inc., a Minnesota corporation (NASDAQ: INLD). Prior to August 6, 2001, Interland, Inc was Micron Electronics, Inc. (NASDAQ: MUEI). Between 1997 and 2001, Micron Electronics, Inc. was the manufacturer of the Micron PC and was headquartered in Boise, Idaho.
Importantly, there was another company named interland: Interland, Inc., a Georgia corporation (NASDAQ: ILND) was founded by Ken Gavranovic in 1997 and went public in 2000.
On August 6, 2001, Micron Electronics acquired Interland, Inc. (the Georgia corporation) and simultaneously changed its name to Interland, Inc. (the Minnesota corporation).
Interland, Inc. changed its name to Web.com in early 2001.
