Pictures

I think that there should be two images here. One: Jak's appearance in the first game. Two: Jak's appearance in the second. Just to show how he's changed. We might do this with Keira too...--RedZion-- 71.145.151.142 (talk) 13:11, 10 May 2006 (UTC)

Trivia...

I think we should remove these sections. This will not help the reader alot, you know? The average reader would think "So what if the Krimzon Gaurds suck at shooting? Who cares?" Abby724 05:36, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

  • Many gamers who unlock Hero Mode have cited the "Destroy Ship at Drill Platform" mission as the most difficult to complete in the entire game. Many see no way to beat it, short of using a GameShark or other cheat device. It is, however, completely possible to beat given enough tries.
  • Most Krimzon Guards seem to suffer from severe cases of the Stormtrooper effect. They are generally horrible marksmen, and most of the time wind up shooting everything else EXCEPT Jak and Daxter. On rare occasions, they even shoot other Krimzon Guards caught in crossfire!
The part about the KG being lousy shots should be removed, but the ship at drill platform is fine. Oh, and I notice you left the 'exciting' Jak II overview intact. RedZionX 09:44, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

Don't I get breaks for helping wikipedia? I can't always edit everything at the same time anyway. Abby724 16:10, 30 July 2006 (UTC)

-.- never mind. And who added the 'memory of morgan' part? i'm going to remove that, because it does not seem to have any useful information contained in it. RedZionX 13:25, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
Morgan was one of Naughty Dog's pet dogs. You can see that the game was dedicated to his memory when the credits starts to roll. Cat's Tuxedo 14:53, 12 August 2006 (UTC)

Separate Bestiary Page

The main problem the keeps the Jak II and 3 pages from equaling the quality of The Precursor Legacy one is the insanely long list of enemies. I think that there should be a separate page for this, divided into 'Metal Heads' (Metal Rex, Metal Gunner, etc) 'Lurkers' (Lurker Commander, Lurker Dog) 'Krimzon Guards' (Grunt, Hellcat, etc) 'KG Deathbots' (Deathbot, Scout Drone, etc) 'Creatures' (Daggertongue Lizard, Spider).

Trivias are keeping Wikipedia games and movies alive,if you don't care about cool facts of the game that you didn't know about well that's your problem but don't ruin it for others —Preceding unsigned comment added by 64.131.230.194 (talk) 01:06, 5 September 2007 (UTC)

In case you haven't noticed, this is an encyclopedia, not a listing place. Lists of weaponry and enemies belong in walkthroughs/FAQs, not in an informative article. RedZionX 17:27, 9 November 2007 (UTC)

I'd like to help

I noticed something about the plot summary that irked me a little. It's best summed up by this line... Back at the Hideout, Torn reveals that he sold the Underground out, to prevent Praxis from killing Ashelin. All by itself, this is a good line. The problem is that this is the first time in the entire article that either Torn or Ashelin are mentioned. There is no explanation as to who Torn and Ashelin are, so no one reading the article (except those who have played the game, and they probably aren't looking for that information anyway) is going to know who they are or why they are relevant. I found similar problems with other characters, like Krew (first mentioned in the scene where he dies), Kor (first mentioned in the scene where he is revealed as the dark lord or the Metal Heads), and some other characters. I would like to try to fix this issue and others I found with the plot summary. But since what I'm proposing is a potentially major edit, I was hoping to get some feedback from those that have been developing and maintaining the article. I'll assume that silence means that no one objects. If you want and example of my work for an Idea of what I may do, compare the current plot summary of Jak 3 to what it was before I worked on it. By the way, I think that the plot summary of Jak 3 might still be too long, so if anyone can think of a way to shorten it any more, I contend that it will reduce your time in Purgatory. Larrythefunkyferret 06:08, 8 July 2007 (UTC)

It's been three days since I posted my proposal. I'll take silence as a sign that no one cares if I make the change. Larrythefunkyferret 04:24, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

64.217.218.41, I have cleaned up your article spam twice in one day. If you would like to add something informative, please do so, otherwise take your drivel elsewhere. RedZionX 16:01, 11 November 2007 (UTC)

Sudden Change

I was wondering if the sudden change in atmosphere andplay style shold be more heavily mentioned in the article. I think that anyone who has played both Jak 1 and 2 will agree with me when i say that the series takes a sudden change in both atmoshere and play style. Thogh the game plays pretty much the same with the inclusion of vehicles and guns being the only real additions. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 96.226.67.8 (talk) 23:41, 6 July 2008 (UTC)

That depends on how much added weight, and how you include it. If you create a section for it and call it something like "Differences from the Last Game", someone is likely to revert it as a trivia section. However, if you integrate it into another section commonly viewed as encyclopedic, it's more likely to be well recieved. What I would suggest is you create a good Gameplay section (because this article needs one anyway; The Precursor Legacy has a fairly good one you can use as a template), then integrate the extra weight into that. Time Period

Is there a source that says how far in the future Jak 2 and 3 take place? I don't want an edit war to start up over this, as it would likely land us in WP:LAME. Larrythefunkyferret (talk) 06:34, 28 October 2009 (UTC)

Tidying up "Characters" section

I just wanted to point out that I am going to rewrite the "Characters" section. It just seems it needs to be fixed up. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Towlierocks (talkcontribs) 17:11, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Edited a little bit, might fix it up again later Towlierocks (talk) 17:34, 9 January 2010 (UTC)

Thanks, every little bit helps. Larrythefunkyferret (talk) 07:00, 10 January 2010 (UTC)

Request for sources

The reception section currently mentions the critisism that the game received for its difficulty, but is only cited with a fan forum. I would much prefer to have a professional reviewer as a source, since forums are acceptable as sources only in limited cases. If anyone happens to know about a professional reviewer who commented on the game's difficulty, please either add a link to the review in the article or post it here. If it's an offline source, please summarize what the reviewer said. Thank you. Larrythefunkyferret (talk) 05:11, 3 March 2012 (UTC)

I found few review sources that aren't yet included in the article, with some reviewer's opinion on the game's difficulty and other criticisms.

Removed bold and changed articles

In particular, I removed the bold from the phrase "Dark Eco" in the "Characters" section and changed two "thes" to indefinite articles after "Krew" and "Tess" in the following:

"Other important characters include Torn, the second in command of the resistance movement known as the Underground; Sig, a Metal Head hunter/Wastelander (someone who gathers artifacts from outside the city); Krew, the vastly-overweight gang lord; Tess, the barmaid; Errol, the Baron's right-hand man and commander of the Krimzon Guard; and Ashelin, the daughter of Baron Praxis who helps the Underground behind her father's back. Baron Praxis and the Metal Heads' leader Kor are the story's antagonists."

If I did anything wrong here, could anyone please tell me?--Thylacine24 (talk) 03:04, 11 August 2019 (UTC)

500 years?

In the "Story" subsection of the "Plot" section, there's this sentence:

"While exploring the city ruins, Jak and Daxter come across the remains of Samos' hut and realize that they have been flung nearly 500 years into the future, with Haven City built over the remains of Sandover Village."

I don't recall any point in the game where the time span of "nearly 500 years" was given. Could anyone please let me know if this is actually the case?--Thylacine24 (talk) 19:00, 4 September 2019 (UTC)
