Criticism

[edit]

To those who complain about Triple H and his political sheningans in the WWE are obviously overlooking Jarrett. Techicnally, he has more power than Triple H because he is part-owner and the vice-president of TNA. Also, he was also part of the company since day one, and, of course, while Triple H married Steffo, Jeff has his father on the side (the old saying, "Blood is thicker than water"). 24.195.68.189 01:43, 7 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

I think this has some validity, however there are a few things to consider. I hear Jeff and his dad aren't so close these days. Especially after the stunt his father pulled a couple weeks ago by going up to visit the WWE offices. Dave Meltzer (Wrestling Observer Newsletter) says that they butt heads a lot. Secondly, Jeff's father doesn't own TNA. He used to, until it was about to go under. That's when the Carters stepped in and bought out most of his shares. Jerry Jarrett basically has no control in TNA these days and had been reduced to helping time entrances. Meltzer says this is why Jarrett went to WWE, along with playing games with that fool Dave Nelson in Ohio (the guy who claimed he was going to get a major tv deal with ESPN 2 and had all these big shows lined up). Turns out Jeff's father was a part of that and tried to get TNA guys to leave the company and go there. Incredible really. But back to the point at hand, while Jeff is up on top and considered the Triple H of TNA, it's not thanks to his father. If anything, the recent actions of his pop might cause the Carters to not trust the family even more. That said, I think Jarrett should really step down and focus on the business end of the company instead of still being active. It's clearly a conflict of intrest if he's still Vice President. --Skeeto 01:28, 8 November 2005 (UTC)[reply]

Is the lengthy description of Triple H really necessary to this article? I'm not talking about the validity one way or the other of charges layed against Jarrett or HHH, but is it necessary to talk about HHH when we mention the complaints against Jarrett? Go Away Heat

[edit]

Jeez, everybody (except Jarett himself) knows that Jarrett doesn't have legit heat, nobody wants to pay to see him lose, they don't want to see him at all. I think this article should really reflect the reality of Jarrett being a negative draw, and therefore the weasel-wordy comments about "some" people thinking he's a decent heel should be deleted. I think the Fan's Revenge Match two days ago disagrees :P

Jeff Jarret is the greatest wrestler in TNA. Sting should retire and Samoa Joe should go to WWE. All hail Jeff Jarret!-Official Jarret Fan

Possible Face Turn

[edit]

I heard a rumour on the internet that Jeff Jarrett wanted 2 become a face again now that he had the title striped from him after winning the king of the mountain does anyone think or know any info on it.

NWA Champ again!!!!!

[edit]

God dammit that jack off Cornette gave the title back to Jarret. Jarret has been the champ 6 times already. Give somebody else a chance to have it.

Maybe the reason he is champion so much is that nobody else deserves it.

Maybe your a fag.

Jarrett is a jerk

[edit]

Jeff Jarrett is a jerk. Why? He's the co-founder of TNA and he's fighting in TNA! He's even screwed Jeff Hardy! That Damn F***in sumbitch!--Ed-kipedia 17:55, 3 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Could we please refrain from these childish comments? Jarret does have more political stroke, but compared to drug addicted train wrecks like Jeff Hardy, Jarret is more than competent as a performer and is undeserving of the gripe people give him.

Not a former 6 times NWA World champion

[edit]

At the beginning of his TNA history, I read that he was a former 6 times NWA World Champion. It's false because he is still champion, so "former" is useless. The hitman - 23:47 - 22/09/06

Maybe that person thought Samoa Joe has become the champion. This is like Cage and Abyss. Abyss wasn't credited because he owned the belt. 65.94.185.198 23:55, 27 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

iMPACT Updates

[edit]

I will be updating this section every iMPACT, and I updated with the events that happened last week, because they were important to Jarrett's storyline.—The preceding unsigned comment was added by 12.223.28.35 (talkcontribs) .

No, no they aren't needed or necessary NegroSuave 17:15, 15 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The stroke

[edit]

Could we get a source for the name being a reference to his political stroke please? That is total OR, and it is far more likely that it has nothing to do with anything but stroking a guitar. Until a source is provided, I am removing al reference to this. -- The Hybrid 07:42, 25 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's known that he still holds a stake in the TNA company. Plus, it's believed that he is a member of the booking committee, which would lead anyone to believe he's got stroke. Besides, the shirts "He's got stroke" probably is designed to imply his power backstage.--The Saxon 16:02, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It's not "believed", he is a member of the booking committee. However, having backstage power and his move being called "The Stroke" have nothing to do with each other. Nenog 23:47, 9 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Come on, Nenog, even Wikiquote has a quote of him from his WCW days saying, "I've got all the stroke around this place!" Wikiquote You think that's some sort of coincidence?--The Saxon 04:54, 10 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Chosen One (TNA)?

[edit]

I wanna ask a simple question to the man that updated the "Nicknames" section of Jeff Jarrett. When was he called "The Chosen One" in his TNA stint? I thought the only nickname he had in TNA until now is "The King of the Mountain". "The Chosen One" is JJ's WCW character. Cavax88 19:17, 8 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
