Peacekeeping status of russian "peacekeepers"[edit]
Some of the peacekeeping missions on the list have previously been described as "occupation forces". In particular, JPFK in South Ossetia were characterized as "occupation forces" by Georgia in 2008, while Russian forces in Transnistria were characterized as occupying forces in the 2022 PACE resolution.
